Kanika has been passionate about hair styling since she was a young child.  As early as the age of four, she has expressed her love for the profession, styling the hair of anyone who would let her play in it.  Kanika attended Clark Atlanta University, majoring in Chemistry.  Upon entering the workforce following graduation, she realized that something was missing.  After a few attempts at unfulfilling career choices, she realized that her calling was hair styling.  Kanika decided to attend Paul Mitchell the School in Tysons Corner, graduating in 2012, and subsequently obtained licensure in two states.  With her combined education, Kanika has an excellent understanding of the chemistry of hair and how to maintain it and keep it healthy.  She has had salon experience and a great deal of experience as a freelance hairstylist, styling hair for photo shoots, weddings, runway shows, and the like.  Kanika understands the importance of continuing education in this industry, and seeks to do so every opportunity she gets.
